The Cape May Artists’ Cooperative Gallery Celebrates its Third Anniversary

WEST CAPE MAY – The Cape May Artists Cooperative (COOP) is celebrating its third anniversary in its 122 Sunset Blvd. location in West Cape May. On Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors are encouraged to stop by and celebrate with member artists and enjoy refreshments, hourly door prize drawings and of course, art! Door prizes include works by member artists and will be drawn hourly over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can fill out a free entry form either day and need not be present to win.

Formed in 2008, the COOP moved to the expansive West Cape May location in 2014. It is the first and only artists’ cooperative in the county and is owned and operated by its members. The COOP features a full selection of members’ original work including paintings, photography, mixed media, jewelry, works in wood and bird carvings, clay, and paper and fiber arts. Affectionately referred to as the COOP, the gallery is easy to locate with a six foot metal rooster, standing proudly in front of the building greeting visitors along the thoroughfare.

The Gallery is operating under a winter schedule and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Credit cards are accepted. Parking is available behind the gallery. The COOP currently has openings for Full Membership and Associate Members. For information regarding shows, membership and events, call (609) 435-5253 or visit capemayartistcoop.com.
