Swift Technique was formed in 2007 by students at the University of the Arts and Temple University in Philadelphia. The group started off with a Philadelphia influenced hip hop/funk sound and eventually grew to play the current funk/jazz/rock/soul compositions that are led by talented vocalist, Chelsea ViaCava.

So what can you expect a Swift Technique performance? Big personalities that will grab your attention and a gifted vocalist with an impressive voice and presence to keep that attention – Expect to have fun and to dance the night away.

The band is no stranger to Cape May County as they have played the past four to five years here getting their start at Cabanas Beach Bar & Grill in Cape May. They will continue their Jersey Shore performances this summer at Dogtooth Bar and Grill on June 21st, July 12th, August 29th, and September 13th.

Not only does Swift Technique have experience playing in Philadelphia and Cape May County, but the band has also performed in places such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Nashville, Savannah and New Orleans at the New Orleans Jazz Fest which bassist Jake Leschinsky described as a “pretty amazing experience”. Swift Technique has also had supporting slots for Keri Hilson, The Meters, Wu-Tang Clan, Questlove of the Roots, Soulive, and many others. Their most memorable performance, in December of 2013, was at The Blockley of Philadelphia’s last show where they performed to a sold out crowd, opening for The Everyone Orchestra.
