‘Streets of Cape May’ Art Gallery & Gift Shop to Open this Memorial Day Weekend

A grand opening for Cape May’s new art gallery and gift shop, Streets of Cape May will be held over Memorial Day weekend. Everyone is welcome to come in and see this exciting new addition to the Washington Street Mall, and participate in the raffle which requires no purchase.

The shop features an incredible series of Cape May panorama street scenes executed in watercolor by local artist Lisa Crugnola. The artwork has been reproduced in a variety of sizes on canvas and textured watercolor paper. Also available are gift items such as pillows, collectible plates, gift boxes, lamps and much more featuring the most beloved architecture in Cape May. In short, “There’s something for everyone who loves Cape May.”

The adorable carriage house building at 518 Washington St. (located on Carpenter Lane across from the Peanut Butter Co.), formerly Pearl’s Clothing Store, has now been revamped to house and feature these large scale, watercolor prints. The soaring cathedral ceilings are the perfect venue to show customers, “This is how the art will look in your home.” High spaces over doors and windows that might normally be wasted with a lot of nothing are a perfect fit for this panorama art.
