Strawberry Festival Returns to West Cape May

June 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain date June 5)

It’s time for the 23rd annual Strawberry Festival! This much-anticipated event celebrates everyone’s favorite berry as an early sign of summertime fun and yum. There’s something to expect for everyone!

Our new and returning local artisans offer their unique pottery, original handmade jewelry, artwork, tee shirts, hats, bags, local honey, woodwork, furniture, photography, birdhouses and feeders, garden art, whimsical art, stained glass art and crafts as well as antiques, collectibles, soaps, shower treats, candles, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories, baked goods, nuts, jams, and pies. And of course, there will be strawberries!

For the kids and kids and heart, the strawberry-eating turtles will return (provided it isn’t too cold) with the Turtle Singer. New to this year’s festival are hair-braiding, glitter tattoos, and pet portraits.

Our top food vendors will offer desserts, cookies, floats, shaved ice, dips, sauces, ice cream and lemonade, wine, iced coffee, hot dogs, sausages, empanadas, seafood kebabs, hoagies, and cheese steaks. All with strawberry delights!

Students from Cape Regional Technical School will be selling their delicious strawberry shortcake as a fundraiser for their prom. And our West Cape May Fire Department will sell their t-shirts; come and support our volunteers!

There will be music all day:

  • 10 a.m. – Bill the Steel Drum Guy
  • 12:30 p.m. – Five Times Famous
  • 3 p.m. – The Squares

What else? There will be free parking and plenty of bike racks, so head on over! Handicap accessible. Cart rides are available by Cape May Free Rides 609-435-2680 from Cape May. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome!

The festival will be held again this year in the Backyard Park, 732 Broadway, West Cape May. The festival is sponsored by the West Cape May Business Association.
