Do turtles eat strawberries? Come see for yourself at the 19th annual Strawberry Festival in West Cape May. Held in beautiful Wilbraham Park (intersections of Broadway and West Perry streets), the festival will take place on Saturday, June 3 (rain date June 4… but it won’t rain) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is FREE!
This much anticipated event features over 100 vendors, all celebrating the official fruit of spring! Enjoy strawberry shortcake offered by the Cape May County Technical School with proceeds going to its after prom party. There will also be wonderful and different ways that strawberries will be prepared: strawberry smoothies, kabobs, floats, strawberry shaved ice, empanadas, strawberries on funnel cake, ice cream, strawberry lemonade and strawberry sodas. Our top food vendors will be back with crab cakes, seafood kabobs, pulled pork, hot dogs, sausages and delicious Kobe burgers.
Shop with our artisans for strawberry pottery, strawberry jewelry, strawberry T-shirts, strawberry honey, strawberry wine and lots more! There will be antiques, artwork, clothing, birdhouses and garden art. We have lots of new vendors joining us this year. And the Turtlesinger will have her strawberry-eating turtles with her! Check it out!
Live music will play all day starting with Bill the Steel Drum Guy at 9 a.m., Blondage Rocks at 11 a.m., The Squares at 1 p.m. and The Geno White Trio at 3:15 p.m.
Crowning of the Strawberry King and Queen begins at 3 p.m. Come vote for your favorite strawberry-loving person!
The event is a great way to celebrate the spring and welcome in the summer season!
