Now in its 27th year in business, Stephanie’s of Stone Harbor is a unique and special store which began in Cape May, New Jersey in 1984. Stephen DiMuzio, owner and designer had a special talent for buying the right thing at the right time. He and his wife Angela decided to open a business and they named it after their five year old daughter, Stephanie. As their business grew, they decided to open a second store in Stone Harbor in 1991.
Stephanie grew up in the business working in the store in the summer with her parents and as time went by she became an integral part of the business. A loyal customer base grew along with Stephanie. She attended Moore College of Art & Design. Most unique among the many treasures found in Stephanie’s of Stone Harbor is Stephanie DiMuzio’s artwork and greeting cards. Stephanie merges her original works of art and painted images with her favorite collected quotations. These lovely greeting cards have quickly become a great success and are an excellent addition to the various collections of other greeting cards sold there.
Angela DiMuzio enjoys her role as primary buyer for the store and is responsible for many of the new exciting lines that can be found in Stephanie’s each year. Her discerning eye for quality products coupled with her warm and friendly personality make the store a special destination for many.
Steve is an interior designer with over forty years experience. As daughter Stephanie and wife Angela became more involved in the daily workings of the business, this enabled him more time to devote to his design work. His office/showroom and store are located at 9720 Third Ave. in Stone Harbor. Steve has also done design work for many hotels, restaurants and homes in the tri state area. He is available for appointments and consulting.
Stephanie’s is best known for their several high quality jewelry collections which keep customers returning year after year. The store is known for individualized customer service and great selection of genuine Murano glass, crystals and sterling silver bead collections made in Denmark and Italy. Lovelinks, one of Stephanie’s best selling bead lines, offers interchangeable beads which can easily be swapped out on rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces offering customers great versatility. Stephanie’s customers always leave with combinations that are unique and special. Also hot this summer season, Spinning Jewelry has made quite a splash on the jewelry scene. A wide selection of “Spinning” stackable rings allows each customer to build her own combination for a unique look one ring at a time.
Another reason people flock to Stephanie’s each year is for their collection of John Medeiros Jewelry which is proudly made in the USA. Designed with beautiful hand cut crystals, this rhodium coated jewelry is guaranteed to shine for a lifetime and the designs are elegant and reasonably priced.
Beyond jewels, Stephanie’s carries a great variety of hats which provide extra summer sun protection. The store also features a great collection of light weight “watercolor” scarves and other wonderful and stylish accessories. Perhaps the biggest hit this summer is the on trend and reasonably priced leather line, Rowallan of Scotland. They offer wallets, totes, shoulder bags, and satchels and other accessories in vibrant orange, pink, green, yellow, and sky blue. These accessories are an excellent way to embrace this summer’s bright style.
