SPQR Stage Company Sets ‘Magic Flowers’ For Christmas Run at Aerodrome

SPQR Stage Company is pleased to announce that “Magic Flowers,” written and directed by Bill Sterritt, will be produced at Aerodrome this holiday season.

“Magic Flowers” takes place on Christmas Eve in Manhattan. Ethel Pahoni, an advertising copywriter, is prepared to spend another Christmas Eve alone with the cheapest bottle of Burgundy money can buy. Ethel’s bliss is interrupted by a man selling “magic flowers” that he claims will help Ethel find love. After hemming and hawing, Ethel buys the flowers to get rid of the man. The next thing Ethel knows, Ralph Adams (the other part of Ethel’s advertising team, whom she despises) shows up at her door with a bottle of champagne. Chaos, comedy and kisses ensue.

“Magic Flowers” has won several awards and been produced across the United States. “Magic Flowers” will premiere at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, then perform Saturdays, Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 3 p.m. at Aerodrome. Aerodrome is located at 251 Ranger Rd., Rio Grande, on the grounds of the Cape May Airport. Tickets are $10.
