The Philadelphia 76ers will join fans at the Jersey Shore for their 16th annual Sixers Beach Bash, taking place Saturday, August 1 at Jack’s Place (3601 Ocean Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202) from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Sixers players Jahlil Okafor and Robert Covington and legends Darryl Dawkins and World B. Free are scheduled to be in attendance to mingle with fans and sign autographs. A limited number of vouchers for each autograph session will be distributed to fans on a first-come, first-served basis upon arrival to Beach Bash.
Open to fans of all ages, the outside area of Beach Bash will include inflatables, face painters and interactive games with unique Sixers prizes. Team merchandise will be available for purchase through a “Sixers Yard Sale.” A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the work of the Sixers Youth Foundation.
The 2015-16 Sixers Dancers will make their season debut at Beach Bash, performing energetic routines on stage outside and indoors at Jack’s Place. The new 16-member team was recently announced. Members of the high-flying Sixers Phlight Squad and mascot Franklin will also perform an acrobatic flip show.
“Year after year, this event gives us an opportunity to celebrate Sixers basketball down the shore and connect with our fan base in a way that can only be done at Beach Bash,” said Sixers Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer Tim McDermott. “Our goal is to provide our fans the chance to create lasting memories by meeting some of our players, alumni and front office staff in addition to enjoying first-class entertainment by Sixers Phlight Squad, Sixers Dancers, Franklin and a host of other elements we have planned.”
Inside Jack’s Place, fans 21 and over can enjoy drink specials and a live DJ in addition to opportunities to bid on unique Sixers experiences.
Sixers Beach Bash will take place rain or shine.
