The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is proud to present the New Jersey premiere of Lauren Gunderson’s exceptional play about astronomer Henrietta Leavitt (1868-1921) who, in 1912, provided the key to determining the size of the universe. Leavitt and other women who worked at The Harvard College Observatory made valuable discoveries about the cosmos, which is incredible considering they weren’t allowed to look through the telescope. They charted the stars using photographic plates taken through the telescope. The talented cast includes Kathryn Barnhardt, Pat Dwyer, Nikki Ferry, Veronique Hurley and Mary Elizabeth Scallen.
