SEA ISLE CITY — The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host a brand new event, the Holiday Stroll, on Saturday, Dec. 10. The event will feature holiday activities for the entire family and discounts at businesses throughout town. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with a visit from Santa and festive carolers at the Excursion Park tree on JFK Boulevard.
“The Chamber wanted to offer a new family event to spread the holiday cheer in Sea Isle City through the month of December,” said Colleen Buch, the event coordinator. “While families are taking advantage of specials and discounts in their favorite stores, kids will be entertained with a number of activities offered and even enjoy visiting with Santa. With the variety of characters, refreshments and activities, it’s going to be a really fun day for everyone in Sea Isle City.”
Throughout the day, more than 20 businesses will offer discounts and hospitalities. Kids will have an opportunity to get their faces painted, visit with characters and join the strolling carolers. The jitney will be running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as it escorts Santa throughout town to visit with families who are shopping. It will run northbound on Landis Avenue toward 37th Street, then loop around and head southbound toward 63rd Street so visitors can stop and shop at all of their favorite locations.
Girls will enjoy Shopping with the Princesses at Groovy Girlz from noon to 2 p.m. as well as a chance to win a Groovy Girlz gift basket for every $20 spent that day. There will be giveaways in store as well. Customers taking advantage of specials at Heritage Surf and Sport will be entered to win a Heritage Gift Basket, valued at $250. The drawing will take place at 6 p.m. After a fun-filled day of shopping and fun, head over to La Costa for family quizzo at 5 p.m.
The Holiday Stroll gives families the opportunity to shop and dine locally this holiday season while enjoying family-fun activities throughout Sea Isle City.
