On Nov. 25 and 26, the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will kick off the 2016 holiday season in grand style with their 5th annual Holiday Extravaganza at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard & Pleasure Avenue. The event will feature a Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Santa’s Arrival and live entertainment. There will also be free ice-skating (and free skate rentals), free refreshments and other seasonal enjoyment.
Shoppers making purchases at participating businesses will be entered in a raffle to win a flat screen TV in honor of “Small Business Saturday.”
In addition to launching Sea Isle’s 2016 Holiday Season, the Extravaganza will also give people the opportunity to make donations to Mayor Desiderio’s 2016 Holiday Toy and Food Drive. Throughout the event, collection boxes will be positioned at Excursion Park, where unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items will be collected for families in need. The Toy and Food Drive is a fine opportunity for everyone to participate in the true meaning of the season – giving.
