Sea Isle Chamber Adds Family Fun Night to Event Lineup, Farmers Market Returns

SEA ISLE CITY — The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization is set to debut a brand new event this summer, Family Fun Night. Every Friday night beginning June 24, residents and visitors alike are invited to Excursion Park for a full lineup of family friendly activities at Excursion Park and the best part is, it’s all free. This weekly event will run through Aug. 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“We wanted to add something fun and interactive for family’s to enjoy together this summer,” says Chamber President, Christopher Glancey. “Each week has a theme and all of the activities for that week will match the theme such as Princess Night, Country Line Dancing Night and Super Heroes Night. We really think families will enjoy spending Friday nights with us at Excursion Park.”

Each week, Excursion Park will transform into a hotspot with various interactive activities for the entire family, sponsored by various Sea Isle City businesses. From balloon artists and inflatables to special appearances from your favorite Super Heroes and Princesses, Family Fun Night offers something for everyone. Families will have the opportunity to learn some country line dancing moves, test their knowledge with bingo trivia night, and even show off their musicality with Karaoke night.

In addition to the Chamber’s new event, the increasingly popular Farmers Market returns for another season. Spend every Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Excursion Park browsing through more than 30 local vendors.

“We have a selection of vendors returning to our Farmers Market this year and there are some new ones, too,” says Glancey. “We wanted to offer visitors a wide variety of items to shop each week and we feel we have a great lineup for 2016.”

From candle and specialty dip vendors to lemonade, guacamole and more, you’ll find items you didn’t even know you needed. Visitors can pick up some fresh and local produce, crafts and specialty items before spending the day on Sea Isle City’s beautiful beaches or stock up on all the necessities for the week. Some new vendors for 2016 include Gaiss Market, selling bacon on a stick and Good Boy, selling dog treats and toys.

The Farmers Market will run now through Aug. 30, so be sure to stop by and shop local in Sea Isle City.
