SEA ISLE CITY — The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will present two new events this summer at Excursion Park: Mondays at the Park and Acoustic Open Mic Night on Thursday nights. Each week, residents and visitors are invited to check out the variety of free entertainment.
“With the success of adding Family Fun Night last summer, we decided to add a few more events to the lineup this year,” said Chamber President Chris Glancey. “While Mondays at the Park will cater to families, Acoustic Open Mic Night will cater to teens, so there will be something almost every night of the week at Excursion Park for a variety of age groups to enjoy while visiting Sea Isle City.”
Mondays at the Park kicks off with the Chamber’s annual Fashion Show on July 10, showcasing spring and summer fashions from more than 20 Sea Isle City businesses. Families are invited back to the park through Aug. 14 for a variety of entertainment including music, dancing and face painting. The entertainment lineup includes a visit from everyone’s favorite ice princesses, dancing with Minions and so much more.
Acoustic Open Mic Night, open to ages 14-20, will follow Family Fun Night activities on Thursdays from 9 to 10:30 p.m. through Aug. 17. Each week, rising musicians are encouraged to head over to the park to play and listen to acoustic music while enjoying the various activities on the lawn. Sign up for stage time the week before with Alex at ag@centerstageent.com. Some of the additional activities planned for teens include volleyball, cornhole and video games.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Family Fun Night is returning on a new night this year (Thursdays) and the Farmers Market will be held on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Aug. 29. Visitors can stock up on fresh local produce, crafts and specialty items before spending the day on Sea Isle City’s beautiful beaches. Family Fun Night will feature a new activity and theme each week at Excursion Park from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., so be sure to plan ahead. The event runs through Aug. 17, weather permitting.
