‘Princess and Pirate Day’ at the Cape May County Zoo

Calling all Princesses and Pirates! The Cape May County Park and Zoo’s annual “Princess and Pirate Day” will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Cape May County Park in Cape May Court House.

Sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, this event is free and open to the public. Visitors of all ages are invited to wear their best dress up apparel to this fun family event, which includes activities for the kids, a craft station, games, entertainment, animals, an inflatable pirate ship and more.

Coronation ceremonies and Disney Trivia will be held by your favorite princesses along with Kaptain Kristian, the most deceptively clever pirate, and his crew, to entertain young and old. Miss Cape May County, Amy Philips will also join us for a fairytale storybook reading.

Freeholder Marie Hayes, liaison to the Park and Zoo, invites families to come out for a fun-filled day. Plus, be sure to visit the Zoo after the festivities. “The Park and Zoo is always fun, but it is much more when the kids come dressed up as princesses and pirates and enjoy all the activities that will take place,” Hayes said.

The Cape May County Zoo is located at 707 Rt. 9 N. in Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off of the Garden State Parkway). The free Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the fall/winter, weather permitting. The Zoo is open every day except Christmas.
