Summer down at the Jersey shore would not be complete without seeing at least a few surfers in the Atlantic Ocean. Surfing has been a staple of coastal areas for centuries, dating back to early Polynesian cultures. Stand-up surfing is the most common form, where the rider is either on a short-board or long-board. Balance is the key to mastering this art. Paddle boarding, body surfing, and stand-up paddle boarding have grown in popularity throughout the years. There are many other options to choose from that are both fun and challenging.
