On The Scene: August 2 to August 8


The nightlife at the Jersey Shore heats up when the sun begins to set and the hottest local bands, DJs and musicians take the stage at your favorite shore-town bars, restaurants and clubs. Whether you’re tapping your toes to live music or joining in on games like Quizzo and Name That Tune, the fun will last all night long. Check out who’s on the scene this week in Cape May County!

Friday, August 2
Fridays at The Wharf in Wildwood are all about great drinks, waterfront views, and classic rock hits out on the deck. Head over to watch the extremely talented Juliano Brothers play a great variety of music from 4-7 p.m. Stay until 9 p.m. for music for Celtic rock music from Jamison Celtic Rock from 9-11:30 p.m.

Head to Seaport Pier in North Wildwood for live music right on the Boardwalk. Order your favorite foods at “Dive Bar”, with an option to be seated outside at the deck area “The Sand Bar.” With a great menu and drink list, there is something for everyone out on the deck. Enjoy music from Tyler Kingsley and Callie from 3- 7 p.m. and DJ Gibby at the Dive Bar at 8 p.m.

Saturday, August 3

If you’re looking for a beach bar after a morning on the Wildwood beaches, you’ll find PigDog Bar BQ out on Morey’s Pier so you won’t have to go far! Enjoy acoustic music from Steve Murwin from 12:30-4:30 p.m. and try one of the frozen signature drinks, like the Lemon Shake Up or the Pig Dog Margarita.

The Inlet on Olde will have you dancing and jamming all day long with the best Saturday lineup in North Wildwood. DJ Bill McCay hits the deck at 2 p.m. for afternoon spins before Bangarang takes over at 6 p.m. to perform rock and party covers. At 8 p.m., pick your DJ, with DJ Franny Mac on the deck and DJ Jerry Smith downstairs.

Sunday, August 4
The party continues with more Tyler Kingsley, who takes over the Castaways Bar at Shamrock Beef & Ale from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday. To test your trivia skills, head over to Shamrock Beef & Ale to play Quizzo with Swampoodle from 6-8 p.m.

Monday, August 5
To test your skills on Monday night, stop by Carney’s at 8 p.m. to participate in Trivia Night with James Kennedy. Prizes will be awarded after every round. Plus, enjoy half-priced pizzas and drinks while you play!

Tuesday, August 6
If you’re looking for a night away from the crowded beach bars, get your groove on at Tuckahoe Inn in Beesley’s Point for music from James Howell from 5-9 p.m. To take advantage of the Early Bird Dinner Menu, stop by from 12- 5 p.m. to enjoy a Crab Cake Dinner, Prime Rib, Fish and Chips, and more!

Wednesday, August 7
Spend your Wednesday Night at Backfin Bar & Grill for music from Ray Mixon starting at 6 p.m. Take advantage of the “Local Appreciation Nights” Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays, where all entrees are half-priced and there is all-day happy hour pricing!

Thursday, August 8
Outdoor live music is the best kind of music. Five Times Famous is playing at Mudhen Brewing Company, so you’ll want to stop by! Enjoy the food and drinks on the outdoor patio from 6-10 p.m. while the acoustic duo plays covers of all kinds.
