OCEAN CITY – The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) will present the world premiere of the musical Überboy: The Story of a Hero at the Ocean City Music Pier on Aug. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
“Überboy: The Story of a Hero” is the tale of Bobby Roberts, a kid from Daring, Michigan and his dream to be a superhero. The year is 1959 and the whole country is scared of its own shadow! Bobby teaches us that there is much more to a person than what we may see on the outside. School bullies, air raids, Russian espionage, bandits and aliens are no match for Überboy!
OCTC is thrilled to perform the world premiere of this musical that is so current to today’s youth.
OCTC’s professional Children’s Theatre Series is under the direction of John Anker Bow with Andrew Hink as Music Director and Rachel Marlowe as Choreographer. “So many special memories will be created as kids, families, and the young at heart enjoy live family theatre at an affordable price,” said Michael Hartman, Artistic Director.
Imaginative costumes, creative sets, talented performers, classic stories, favorite characters and the magic of live theatre will be a special part of the Summer Season in Ocean City.
All tickets are $10.00 per person.
