Morey’s Piers presents the Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament as part of its annual beach sports series on Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1 on the Wildwoods’ award-winning beaches.
This event gives players a chance to experience flag football in a new and exciting way. All competitions will take place on the beach at Magnolia Avenue in Wildwood. This awesome summer Jersey Shore beach event is open to both boys and girls ages 5–17, as well as adults.
Games are five versus five with a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 10 players per team. Games consist of two, 20-minute halves with every game starting on the hour. Substitutions will occur on the fly. Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards plus five yards for each end zone. Nylon webbing staked at the four corners and cones will delineate the fields. Each team will play three games – weather permitting – with a fourth game possible for those advancing to the finals.
Trophies will be provided for first place finishers in all divisions, with medals being awarded for second place.
