Mixology 101: Bartender of the Week

With 12 beers on tap plus a large and balanced bottled beer list, the Crab House at Two Mile Landing is home to one of Wildwood Crest’s favorite Happy Hours. Their irresistible signature drinks like the Strawberry “Faux”jito and $5 appetizers make it the place to be. This week’s bartender of the week is a member of the friendly Crab House staff who put the “happy” in this awesome daily Happy Hour. Kristen has been a loyal Crab House mixologist for two years now. Her favorite part about her current bartending gig? “I would definitely say the view,” she assured me. Kristen especially loves serving up cold cocktails from behind Two Mile’s “Sneaky” Tiki Bar, complete with grass hut detailing and all.

Originally from Washington Township, the twenty four year old bartender resides in North Wildwood during the summer. When she’s off the clock, Kristen enjoys kicking back on the beach with a drink of her own in hand. She highly recommends that thirsty guests sample the Orange Crush, a Crab House original. Made with orange vodka, triple sec, Sprite, and fresh squeezed orange juice, the Orange Crush is as tangy and refreshing as it sounds. What Crab House patrons might not know about Kristen is that she actually attended culinary school at Atlantic Cape Community College, specializing in pastry. Not only can this bartender of the week craft a killer cocktail, but she can also bake a delicious dessert.
