Middle Township Plans Largest-Ever Harvest Festival

COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Department of Recreation is currently in the planning stages for the 16th Annual Harvest Festival to be held on Oct. 26, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The department plans on adding more attractions than any of the prior festivals held in the township. Vendor and sponsorships are now available to groups and businesses who wish to secure opportunities while they are still available.

“The Harvest Festival is truly the most popular special event that is held each year in our community”, said Middle Township Mayor Dan Lockwood. “The Department of Recreation is planning more activities, games, rides and attractions to make this the largest community celebration of its kind ever held in the township”.

The township is currently accepting applications for both food and traditional vendor space and they will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. A traditional 12 x 12 foot vendor space is available for $65, while an 18 x 18 foot food vendor space is available for $250. The township is also accepting gold, silver, and bronze sponsorships that start as low as $250 and provides bannering opportunities for participating businesses.

Live music is planned for the Middle Township Harvest Festival with local legend Keith Hickman performing on Mechanic Street, and the band “Soul Shine” performing in the Municipal Parking Lot. This year’s festival will include rides including a mini-helicopter ride and obstacle course, crafters, food vendors, games, kids’ costume contest, a pet costume contest and other new attractions and events.

Individuals, groups, and businesses who wish to sponsor the festival, secure a vending space, or volunteer the day of the festival may contact the Middle Township Department of Recreation at (609) 465-8743, extension 9.

The rain date for the festival will be Oct. 27. For more information, visit www.middletownship.com.
