Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend in North Wildwood

Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend (MAPFSW) is a series of events that recognize truly forgotten heroes: the survivors of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters, including family members and co-workers. It is a weekend in autumn when old friends get to see each other and new survivors become part of our close-knit family. This year’s MAPFSW will take place from September 30 through October 2. The event is hosted annually by the North Wildwood Police Department and is held in the seashore resort of North Wildwood. This year’s host hotel is Montego Bay Resort and Convention Center, 1700 Boardwalk, North Wildwood. For reservations, call 1 (800) 962-1349.

Some of this year’s event highlights include:

Family Night on Friday at 8 p.m.
Montego Bay will host a Family Night/Beef & Beer dinner party for registered guests of the hotel at no charge. The menu includes delicious hot beef sandwiches, a variety of side dishes, sodas and beer for the grown-ups. In addition, other items are available for purchase. If you are not staying at the Montego Bay, tickets for the Family Night/Beef & Beer dinner party will be available for sale at the door for $15 each.

Cookout at Montego Bay on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Join us on the Montego Bay 3rd floor oceanside pool sun deck for a casual cookout and spend some time with other MAPFSW attendees before you head out to explore North Wildwood. When you check in for MAPFSW on Friday, you will be given wrist bands to wear at the cookout so we know you’re with our group. See you there!

Public Safety Expo on Saturday at 5 p.m.
There will be a display and demonstration of police and fire equipment and personnel at 2nd and Surf Avenues.

And much more! Daily schedule is subject to change. For a full schedule of events, visit midatlanticsurvivors.org/schedule.htm.
