Cape May’s hidden gem, Marq’s is located on the first floor of the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel on Beach Avenue between Ocean and Decatur Streets and is frequented by both visitors and local residents alike. Booths, tables, and bar seating comprise the casual section, where four flat screen televisions are tuned-in to your favorite sports games and programming. A second, more formal section, is an ideal space for functions – with or without catering. This spacious 180 seat dining room and full service bar is home to a spectacular all-you-can-eat breakfast daily and family style dinner buffets.
Fresh cut fruits, yogurts, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, breads, pastries, make-your-own Belgian waffles, and omelets to order are just a few of the delights that wait to greet you in the morning at our breakfast buffet. They offer different dishes each day, but there’s always something for kids. Sunday evenings feature Marq’s Mexican Fiesta buffet. Take a quick trip south of the border with tempting tacos, quesadillas, and more. Monday’s home-style buffet features comfort food “just like Grandma used to make.” From Chicken Fried Steak and Mashed Potatoes to Green Bean Casserole and Roast Turkey, this home-style fare is the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing beach day.
On Tuesdays, take a taste tour of Europe without ever leaving Cape May. Sample Potato and Leek soup from Wales and classic Beef Wellington as found in England. Feast on Grecian Lamb Kebabs and drift through Italy forkful by forkful with Marq’s savory Lasagna and back again. Wednesday’s Local Buffet features all of your South Jersey shore favorites such endless peel and eat Shrimp, Broiled Scallops, Stuffed Flounder and Crabby Fries just to name a few. On Thursday, Marq’s pays tribute to its name sake with all your beer battered and pub favorites.
Meat lovers can celebrate Marq’s Meat Night every Friday with generous portions of Prime Rib, Steak and Onions, Parmesan encrusted Chicken, and Roast Pork Loin. Saturdays feature the bounty of the sea with Marq’s irresistible Crab Cakes, Crab Legs, or Parmesan encrusted Tilapia.
Marq’s also invites visitors to cool down poolside at the hotel’s scenic Gazebo Bar. Enjoy a cool drink in the warm sun while gazing out over Cape May’s award winning beach and the Atlantic Ocean. From 11 AM-7 PM seasonally, the Poolside Gazebo Bar is open to both hotel guests and the public and is the perfect place to savor the sights and sounds of Cape May.
