Natali Vineyards is located within the Cape May peninsula, moderated by two large bodies of water – the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware Bay. This configuration and climate parallels a famous French wine-growing region, the Bordeaux, perfect for growing the fine Vitis vinifera grapevine of French and Italian wines.
With 22 acres and 7,000 vines yielding 20 tons of high-quality fruit, Natali Vineyards winemaker and founder Alfred Natali has planted 15 different varieties of French, Italian and Spanish grapes to discover which grow best in Cape May. The result is unique artisan blends that represent the best wine Cape May can bear, created from a combination of skill, creativity, knowledge and labor in the vineyard. Today, Natali Vineyards produces nearly 2,000 cases of wine a year, and boasts 30 different types of wine which have won medals in multiple competitions.
In recent years, Natali Vineyards has expanded its winemaking craft to the production of fruit wines in addition to classic wines. Alfred enjoys experimenting with new fruits, especially those grown by local farmers. Varieties include tropical pineapple, clean and refreshing strawberry, nutty and tart beach plum and more.
