Jon Dorenbos to Return to Ocean City on May 12 for Magic Show and Martin Z. Mollusk Day

Former Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper Jon Dorenbos will return to the Ocean City Music Pier on May 12 with a show that mixes his mind-blowing magic talents with inspirational stories.

Dorenbos performed a sold-out show in Ocean City last spring with tickets selling out in just a few days. The NFL star’s career ended before the last season when doctors discovered an aortic aneurysm and performed immediate open-heart surgery. Though he had been traded to the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles gave him a Super Bowl ring in honor of his dedication to Philadelphia.

The show is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at the Music Pier. Tickets are $45, $35 and $30 and are now on sale at oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice, by calling (609) 399-6111, or in-person at the City Hall Welcome Center or the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the Route 52 causeway.

Dorenbos will be on hand earlier in the day as Ocean City’s hermit-crab mascot, Martin Z. Mollusk, seeks his shadow and predicts an early summer. The magician may pick up some tips from the mollusk, who miraculously (and with the help of his handlers’ flashlights) has never failed to deliver. The free family event takes place at 11 a.m. on the beach at Ninth Street.
