holmes weekend

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s master sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, with his loyal friend Dr. John Watson, return to follow the clues in a challenging new mystery for 2019, “Sherlock Holmes and the Wake at the Wedding,” written by Emily Pruna, playwright.

Cape May’s Sherlock Holmes Weekend is held at the historic Inn of Cape May, 7 Ocean Street, Cape May, N.J., and presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), from Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17.

They say the wedding day is all about the bride, but when Dr. Watson attends the wedding of an old army compatriot, it quickly becomes all about the body in the garden. Join Holmes and Watson and stalk the gaslit streets in search of clues while competing for the $250 grand prize and a variety of other valuable gifts.

Full weekend packages are available at $200 per couple or $105 per person and include the welcome reception, performances, tour, luncheon and a gift. Affordable overnight packages with accommodations are also available. Those who wish to participate for just an afternoon can join The Search for Clues tour on Saturday, March 16, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., which can be purchased as a separate admission of $15. Call 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278, ext. 115 for more information or visit www.capemaymac.org.
