Jersey Shore Pops Presents ‘Great Balls of Fire’

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops continue their popular Summer Concert Series with “Great Balls of Fire” on Saturday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center. The show will feature Jersey Shore Pops Music Director and pianist Linda Gentille.

World-renowned Pops music director and principal soloist Linda Gentille takes front stage with “Great Balls of Fire,” celebrating the careers of great piano legends including Jerry Lee Lewis, Liberace, Roger Williams, Billy Joel, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Fats Waller, Floyd Cramer and Victor Borge. Linda has performed around the world, having recently completed her 15th concert tour of China where she holds the world record, according to the Chinese Ministry of Culture, for performing more concerts (over 150 to date) in China than any other artist.

The Jersey Shore Pops is a big band orchestra with a string section, modeled after the orchestras of the Frank Sinatra era which featured strings along with a big band sound. The Pops was founded by entertainer and conductor Linda Gentille in 2009. The orchestra features 25 of the finest area musicians either born or based in New Jersey, becoming the most popular orchestra at the Jersey shore and an attraction for tourists from all over the East Coast for the past eight years. Many Philly Pops fans attend the Jersey Shore Pops Summer Concert Series when the Philly Pops is on vacation.

The Jersey Shore Pops 2017 Summer Concert Series continues with the following programs:
Saturday, August 5, at 7 p.m.: “Divas of Soul” with Lovena Fox
Friday, August 18 at 7 p.m.: “Wildwood Days” with Johnny Petillo

Individual tickets range from $25-$40 with a special group rate for 10 or more of only $22. Individual tickets can also be purchased at the Middle Township PAC (located at the high school) Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is free and convenient parking at the PAC and the theatre is handicapped accessible.
