Jersey Shore Festival

SEASIDE HEIGHTS – The Jersey Shore Festival takes place on May 14th thru May 17th, in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The free admission festival offers over 300 live musical performances, Skateboard and BMX stunt shows, a Vendor Village, two Pro’s vs. Heroes Football games, and two NFL Play 60 Clinics; all of this and more to start the summer sooner in Seaside Heights.

The event is a free-‐admission festival that provides something for everyone and offers an experience of the real Jersey Shore for all. The Jersey Shore Festival welcomes local, regional, national, and international friends, to experience the real Jersey Shore with the myriad of the events festivities.

Jersey Shore Festival celebrates summer with an array of fun-‐filled activities. Live original bands can be seen Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout town and in select venues including the Aztec, Jimbo’s, Spicy Cantina, EJ’s, Captain Hooks Hemmingway’s, and Jack and Bill’s – to name a few.

The BMX and Skateboard stunt shows will be jaw dropping, and the fireworks will light up the night skies on Saturday. The festivities also feature the Vendor Village, artists, local businesses, and non-‐profit organizations.

The Pro’s vs. Heroes Flag Football games are charity events for non-‐profit and other charitable organizations to raise awareness and money. The games consist of current and former professional athletes playing Homeland Security on Saturday and the Toms River police department on Sunday. The game is a nine-‐man flag football format, which consists of four 15-‐minute running clock quarters with a 30-‐minute halftime. Each team consists of 15 players playing both offense and defense.

The festival invites the public to its Welcoming Party on Thursday, May 14th, at Spicy Cantina in Seaside Heights (500 Boardwalk, at the corner of Sumner Ave and Ocean Terrace). There will be a free gourmet buffet from 7-‐9pm, courtesy of Spicy Cantina, with drink specials and will feature a silent auction to benefit the Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.

The Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity will be building a Habitat Home during the festival on festival grounds. The build will begin on Thursday morning and continue for the next 82 hours straight through Sunday afternoon. Check for updates on the festival’s website, www.jerseyshorefestival.com.
