On Saturday, October 14, the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation is hosting the annual ALWAYS READY 5K. The event starts and finishes at Harborview Park, flows along the Cape May Harbor, and allows the opportunity to travel through U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May. The Always Ready 5K gathers our Coast Guard Service Members, local community, and race participants from Cape May County and beyond.
The event partner, Cape May Brewing Company, will provide adult participants an after-run Always Ready Pale Ale, Cape May Brewing Company’s beer that salutes the Coast Guard community.
This year the event includes an exciting new addition to the roster, the Always Ready K9. The 3K Run/Walk course will take place outside the gates of the Base with your 4-legged, well-behaved companion and is sponsored by our Event Partner, Blue Line K9. “Be a Hero with your Dog” and make it official that your cherished bestie is a true champion.
