Halloween in the Wildwoods Offers Spooktacular Fun Time for All Ages

Halloween in the Wildwoods will be full of tricks, treats and fun events for all ages starting Saturday, October 5 with the Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run and continuing Saturday, October 19 through Saturday, October 26 with family festivities.

Halloween in the Wildwoods kicks off Saturday, October 5, with the Wildwoods Boardwalk 5K Pumpkin Run. This fun and exciting family event is for all ages and offers a 5K run along with a one-mile walk, starting at 10 a.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center – rain or shine. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and vie for prizes in the best dressed categories of Family, Youth, Infant and Best All-Around. All proceeds benefit Wildwoods’ Elementary Schools located on the island. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for ages 18 and under. Same-day registration will take place outside the Wildwoods Convention Center on the day of the race. On Saturday, October 19, enjoy a bonfire on the beach from 6-10 p.m. at 17th Avenue in North Wildwood with live entertainment. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase (no glass containers – plastic only.) Admission is $10; children under 12 are $2. Bring a blanket or beach chair and enjoy a fun night on the beach! Sponsored by the Anglesea Irish Society and the Greater Wildwood Jaycees. Rain date is TBD.

On Friday, October 25, it’s the 3rd annual Downtown Wildwood Halloween Movie & Treats event! Enjoy a Halloween movie and treats under the stars beginning at 6 p.m. at the Byrne Plaza in Wildwood on Pacific Avenue, between Oak & Cedar. Admission and parking are FREE! On Saturday, October 26, it’s the North Wildwood Trunk-or-Treat event from 5:30-7 p.m. on Olde New Jersey Avenue between 2nd and Walnut Avenues in North Wildwood. Parents are encouraged to bring their vehicles decorated for Halloween. Children will come in costume and visit each car where families will provide treats from the trunks of their cars. There will be no judging of the children’s costumes, but prizes will be awarded to the best decorated car. Registration is FREE and forms are available at 900 Central Avenue in North Wildwood. Also on Saturday, October 26, the Greater Wildwood Elks will host a Halloween Haunted House where trick-or-treaters can walk through a “haunted house” and receive treats.
