The Cape May National Wildlife Refuge is a federally protected slice of land near Wildwood Crest that offers panoramic views of the wetlands. Join us at the center to learn about our peninsula’s vibrant ecosystems, which attracts one of the most diverse bird populations in the world.
Visit the center, which sits right by a retired Coast Guard Base on 12001 Pacific Ave in Wildwood Crest.
- Nature walks take place at the center every Saturday morning: join us for Family friendly nature walks at 9:00 a.m.
- Bike & Hike everyday– ride your bike to the refuge between 9-12, complete an activity and receive a free sport pack and goodies for the family
- Junior Refuge Manager Badge scavenger hunt daily. Kids can take the pledge and earn their badge after completing the activity.
- NEW Kids Program: Join Ella weekly on Thursdays August 3, 10, 17, 23 20 from 10-11 for “Let’s Bee Friends”, a fun family program learning about bees
- Rain Barrel Sale: A limited number of Rain Barrels are available for $25.00 each; first come first served at the refuge Nature Store
