Family-friendly, Free Nature Programs at Cape May National Wildlife Refuge

Saturday, Sept. 22 at 9 a.m.: Family Bird & Nature Walk

Visit this unique natural area, with a dune forest between untouched beach dunes and salt marsh. Birds and butterflies are plentiful. Binoculars can be provided. Walks about last an hour and a half, and are fun for novice and experienced birders alike.

Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m.: Full Moon Walk

This evening we offer a full moon walk on the beach, a family-oriented activity focusing on the natural history of the beach at night. See animals galore, and watch the moon rise over the ocean. The full walk last about an hour and a half, but participants may turn back at any time.

All programs start at the Visitors’ Center, located at 12001 Pacific Ave. (Ocean Drive), just west of Wildwood Crest.
