Saturday, June 30 at 9 a.m.: Family Bird & Nature Walk

Learn about this amazing natural area, with a rare dune forest between untouched beach dunes and salt marsh. Birds (both song and shore), wildflowers and butterflies are plentiful. Binoculars can be provided. The Nature Center also has an activity nook for smaller children. These walks of approximately one mile in length last about an hour and a half, and are fun for novice and experienced birders alike.

All programs start at the Visitors’ Center, located at 12001 Pacific Ave. (Ocean Drive), just west of Wildwood Crest. No pre-registration is required, but sunscreen, insect repellant and water are recommended. For more information or directions, call (609) 729-2635 or email info@friendsofcapemayrefuge.org.
