Fall is Better at Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm

CAPE MAY – The days may be getting shorter, but there’s still plenty of fun to come at Beach Plum Farm! The fall celebration at the 62 acre farm in West Cape May has grown this year to include seven Saturdays of family-friendly fun. Starting October 8 and taking place each subsequent Saturday through November 19, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., guests can enjoy traditional fall activities like hay rides, pumpkin picking and decorating and of course, indulging in delicious seasonal goodies! Along with the traditional pig roast, the menu has expanded to include turkey legs, herb & garlic sausage sandwiches with peppers and mustard, veggie wraps with butternut squash, spinach, carrots, cabbage and pesto, hearty white turkey chili and butternut squash soups and of course, farm-fresh salads. There will also be seasonal brews served by Cape May Brewing Company, while the Sun Dogs provide musical entertainment.

While on the farm, visitors can take a stroll and say hello to the chickens, piglets, turkeys and ducks that call Beach Plum Farm home. Every Saturday at noon, kids can enjoy the hands-on, Farm-to-Kids program, which offers a new lesson about life on the farm each week including egg washing, how to grow a kitchen garden and how to care for livestock.

On October 29, don’t miss Trick or Treating!
