Events this Week: October 11 – 18, 2023

Who is excited to see some Porsche 911s? The Ocean City boardwalk will be swarmed by Porsche at the annual Porsche show on Saturday and by Jeeps on Sunday. Over in Woodbine, one of the biggest car shows in the county takes place; come see lots of beautiful modded and stock cars from all throughout automotive history. If you aren’t into car shows, there’s still a lot to do at the shore this week. The Pumpkin Festival at Cold Spring Village is a great way to see the village while the weather is cool.

Wildwoods 50s, 60s, 70s Weekend

Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14  

Fox Park and the Wildwoods Convention Center 

This musical celebration of the past returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center! Friday will bring a dance party, and Saturday will bring a free street fair and classic car show. There will be food vendors, live music, a beer garden, and three headlining acts: The Miracles, The 5th Dimension, and The Temptations Review.  

Physick Estate Craft Show

Woodbine Car Show and Swap Meet

The Greater Woodbine Chamber of Commerce Car Show & Swap meet is an annual event that takes place on the 2nd Saturday of October. Most of the years it will fall on Columbus Day weekend. 

Halloween Movie Morning 

Saturday, October 14 at 10 a.m.  

Avalon Library, 235 32nd St. 

Enjoy a kid-friendly movie at this Saturday Morning Movie program. We’ll be showing a classic G-rated Halloween movie. Parents are asked to remain with children at library programs. 

Porsche Boardwalk Car Show

Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Along the Ocean City Boardwalk 

Porsches will be displayed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Boardwalk from 6th Street to 14th Street. More than 350 Porsches of all models and years between 1954 and 2021 are expected. Free Tech Sessions on Porsche-related topics are open to all at the Music Pier. 

Cold Spring Village Pumpkin Festival

Cold Spring Village, 733 Seashore Road   

Celebrate all things Halloween and autumn at the 29th Annual Pumpkin Festival. Families can enjoy pumpkin painting and games throughout the day. A variety of crafters will sell their wares along the Village’s shell-paved lanes. Vendors will be selling hot dogs, funnel cake, and other snacks. Visit a haunted house at the Village Barn. Don’t miss the Children’s Halloween Parade at 11 a.m.  

West Cape May Borough Yard Sale

Lower Township Halloween Costume Parade

Historic Cold Spring Village 

The parade starts promptly at 11 a.m. – Registration begins on October 7 at the Lower Township Recreation Center on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m.  

Ocean City Jeep Invasion 

Sunday, October 15 from 12 to 5 p.m. 

Ocean City Boardwalk 

Jeeps will be displayed on the boardwalk between 5th Street –14th Street. 

Ocean City HERO Walk 

Sunday, October 15 at 10 a.m.  

Sixth Street and Boardwalk 

This annual walk remembers those who died due to drunk driving and promotes responsible drinking. The HERO Fun Run will take place at 10 a.m. HERO ceremonies are at 10:30 a.m. The 5-kilometer HERO Walk along the Ocean City Boardwalk commences at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Sports and Civic Center, Sixth Street and Boardwalk.
