Halloween is over, and with its absence, a lot of events have faded into the black night. These next three weeks are going to be a bit slower as we wait for the Christmas season to begin. Thursday, Nov. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Cape May Point State Park – North Shelter

Join CMBO naturalist Chuck Slugg to learn about the basics of birding! Learn where to go to find birds and how to identify them. Discover how to get the most out of field guides and optics. For absolute beginners, backyard birders, and any birder who wants to improve their skills (recommended for children 12 and up). This program will take place outdoors and involve minimal walking.

Villas Fire Company Christmas Bazaar

Friday, Nov. 4 – Sunday, Nov. 6 (Fri. 3 – 9 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sun. 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Parish Christmas Bazaar  

Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Nov 6 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)  

680 Town Bank Road, North Cape May  

The Parish of John Neumann hosts their annual Christmas bazaar with raffle drawings, $5 ziti and meatball dinner, $8 hoagie dinners, 50/50 auctions, and Chinese auctions.  

Songs from the Barn: Music and Arts Festival

Saturday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

521 NJ-47 521, Route 47 at the Sperlak Gallery

Music will start at 11 a.m. with acts rotating all day. Gates open at 10. $30 fee includes hiking the grounds. There will be several art opportunities, such as pan painting and clay tile making that will be used for a giant group art installation. All events at the farm are BYOB and food for your own picnic, however there will be food truck here for a good portion of the day. Under 16 FREE (no dogs, sorry). Bring chairs, tents, blankets anything to make your day comfortable.

Tickets may be prchased for CASH only at The Sculpture Gardens or Barrier Island Book Stores (CM/SH) on weekends. There may be no tickets at the door.
