Pajama Story Time

Join the Avalon Library on Thursdays in February and March for very special events for ages 3 to 6! At this Yay, it’s Thursday is a very special evening story time and pajama party! Bring your second favorite stuffed animal for a Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the library! 

Annual Slack Tide Baldrick’s Fundraiser 

Friday, Mar. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. 

Slack Tide’s Tasting Room, 1879 US-9, Cape May Court House, 

St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser for childhood cancer research. Chinese and silent auctions, basket of cheer raffle and more. $50 donation for the head shaving portion of the event. 

Willow Creek Irish Outdoor Market and Traditional Dances  

Friday, Mar. 15 to Sunday, Mar. 17 – click for full schedule 

Willow Creek Winery, 168 Stevens Street, West Cape May 

The 3-day weekend will feature Irish cultural events including dance performances from the Emerald Isle Academy of Irish Dance, local pipe and drum corps and local musicians; a local artisan open air market, Irish food specials and a full bar with Guinness, Whiskey and Irish Willow Whips, in addition to Willow Creek Winery’s renowned wines and sangrias. 

Ocean City Job Fair 

Saturday, Mar. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk 

The event is open to everyone and the Chamber strongly encourages employers and potential employees to sign up now. Businesses can register to participate and students can register to attend by calling the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce at 609-399-1412. 

Great Storm of 1962 – A History 

Saturday, Mar. 16 at 12 p.m., doors at 11 a.m. 

4800 Central Ave, Sea Isle City 

The Great March Storm of 1962 devastated Sea Isle City and other communities along the East Coast of the United States. Sea Isle City Historical Society will host a public presentation that will focus on the events that unfolded during and following the infamous storm.  

Birding at Cape May Point 

Saturday, Mar. 16 from 8 to 10 a.m.  

(repeats weekly through April 20) 

Cape May Point State Park’s Hawkwatch Platform 

Join CMBO naturalists for 2 hours of birding around beautiful Cape May Point. We’ll travel the trails, check out CMBO’s Northwood Center and other surrounding hotspots on The Point, as we soak up the wonder of this annual phenomenon of Nature. History Center Lecture: Notable Women of Avalon’s Past 

Saturday, Mar. 16 from 1 to 2 p.m. 

Tennis Building, 250 39th St, Avalon 

Local historians, Pary and Bruce Tell return to Avalon to share insights and details of just a few of the more notable women of Avalon’s past. Learn about some of the movers and shakers — whether they be entrepreneurs, thought leaders, rule breakers, innovators, or power brokers — they just happen to all be women of Avalon. 

32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celebration 

Saturday, Mar. 16 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. 

120 63rd Street, Sea Isle City 

A St. Patrick’s parade with a Best Dressed Contest at 2 p.m. The parade starts at 83rd & East Landis Ave down Landis Ave to 63rd Street ending at Kix. 

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration and Parade 

Saturday, Mar. 16 at 12 p.m. 

North Wildwood City Hall 

A Catholic Mass service will take place at St. Ann Church of Notre Dame La Mer Parish at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will begin on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall, 9th & Atlantic Avenue, in North Wildwood beginning at 11:30 a.m. A festive parade will begin at the conclusion of the ceremony at 12:00 p.m. and proceeds north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue. 

Women’s Community Club of Cape May Luncheon & Party 

Thursday, Mar. 21 at 12:30 p.m. 

509 Pittsburgh Ave, Cape May 

Light refreshments are served at 12:30 pm and meeting will begin at 1pm. Members and guests will be viewing the club’s Performing Arts Skit which will be performed on March 27, 2024 in Millville for our Performing Arts Day and then we be creating a teacup with artificial flowers as the program.
