Events this Week: Jan. 4 – 11

This week is slow as we finally hit the mid-winter slump. But there’s always something to do for the adventurous at heart. We enjoyed poking around Reeds Beach on a foggy Saturday, as pictured in the header photo.

Yoga in Lower Township 

Thursdays at 6 p.m. 

Millman Center, Villas 

Join Lower Township for yoga every Thursday evening. 5$ cover fee. Yoga lasts about an hour.  

Fishing and Boating Expo  

Saturday, Jan. 7 – Sunday, Jan. 8, hours below  

Wildwoods Convention Center 

The show has expanded to 40,000 square feet of exhibit space with over 90 booths, which means more boats, more tackle, and more boating items. Expo hours are Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. & Sunday: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Adult admission is $7, children 6-13 are $3, and children under 6 are free. 

Free Movie Showing: Dead Pigs 

Monday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. 

Avalon Public Library 

Join the Avalon Library for a free showing of this art film. Synopsis: A bumbling pig farmer, a feisty salon owner, a sensitive busboy, an expat architect and a disenchanted rich girl converge and collide as thousands of dead pigs float down the river toward a rapidly-modernizing Shanghai.  

Award Season Film Night: The Banshees of Inisherin
