The start of May means we’re fully on the summertime rollercoaster, with high-profile events every weekend. This week is highlighted by the Martin Z. Mollusk celebration in Ocean City, where a hermit crab decides if summer will come early, and the opening of Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. Mary will perform songs “Wayfaring Stranger,””Shady Groves,” and others with her Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer and Bouzuki or Guitar, encouraging audience participation to sing along. She will also include a description of the rich history of Appalachia and its people.”

NJ Audubon: Native Plant & Bake Sale 

Nature Center, 1600 Delaware Ave, Cape May 

May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  

NJ Audubon will offer a variety of New Jersey native plants, including perennials, ferns, trees, and shrubs. Look out for your favorite varieties including milkweed, seaside goldenrod, purple coneflower, northern bayberry, beach plum and much, much more! Supplies are limited, so get there early to secure your plants.
