The Ocean City Fine Arts League announces winners of the “Summertime” Show with artist, Mary Ann Kline winning first place for her “Beach Day” oil painting.
Mary Ann Kline has been a plein air painter in South Jersey for many years. She has attended classes at the Barn Studio of Art, Philadelphia College of Art, Fleisher Art Memorial, Stockton College, Rutgers University, Rowan University and participated in many local and out of state workshops. She studied for a summer in the South of France and painted in Spain, Barcelona, and the Dominican Republic. She has exhibited at local venues, individually and as a member of the Cedarwater Painters, and the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters.
Mary Ann’s primary interest is oil landscapes with secondary studies in watercolor, acrylic, pastel, print and jewelry making, pottery, figure drawing and fiber arts. Her artistic endeavors also include construction of found object sculpture and installations.
Mary Ann has won awards in the Atlantic County Education Association Art Show, Cygnus Art Center, Hammonton Art Center, Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, Ocean City Fine Arts League, and the Ocean City Arts Center’s Boardwalk Art Show.

Also, the Ocean City Fine Art League artists are featured at Shore Medical Center, along with the art students at the ARC of Atlantic County, so check out their artwork! The opening for the Show at Shore Medical Center will be July 29 from 4 to 6 PM.
Also, artists can start painting for the September show “Changing Seasons”. Celebrate the transition from fall to winter or spring to fall. The Reception is on Friday, September 11th. Maximum size is 50 united inches (length + width). Entry fee is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Entries are accepted in all mediums and can reflect any theme. Entries can be dropped off Friday, August 28 through Wednesday, September 2.
In addition to the “Summertime” paintings on display, the gallery showcases watercolor, glass, mixed media, pottery, photography, oil and acrylic, textiles, jewelry and sculpture, all made from local artisans.
