For this week’s Drink of the Week I headed down to the end of the Garden State Parkway, Exit 0 to be exact, to Elaine’s located in the heart of Cape May on Lafayette Street. Manager and Bartender aficionado, Karin, whipped up the flavorful Caribbean Breeze; a cocktail mixed with equal parts Strawberry and Coconut Cruzan Rum shaken with Orange and Pineapple juices. Black Barrel rum was added to the top as a floater and garnished with a kabob of Strawberry, Pineapple and Blueberries. The exotic drink is served with a knotted straw for easy consumption.
Karin explained to me that The Caribbean Breeze will be one of the signature drinks at Elaine’s Luau on the Lawn on June 20th. The Luau will feature a $20 buffet with pig roast and Sailor Jerry Drink specials, fun and games and live entertainment. Even if you are not hungry, you may still attend and join in on the fun!
