This week’s featured bartender is Scott Monaghan, who serves up Wildwood’s finest Sangria at the Wharf!
Scott got his start bartending at an Italian restaurant in Roxborough, where he worked for 25 years. That’s where he learned to make martinis, manhattans, cosmos, and sangria. Scott formerly worked at Cabrini College as a public safety officer and came to Wildwood permanently in 2015, when he started working at the Wharf.
Scott loves many things about the Wharf, like the drinks and great food, but his favorite part about his job is the people. The restaurant is bustling and there are always interesting people to talk to. Scott works six days a week but when he does get a day off, he likes to spend time with staff from the Wharf, get dinner or drinks and have some fun!
Scott is grateful to be down the shore, where the beach and ocean remind him to slow down and remember how special life is.
The drink of the week is the Wharf’s famous Sangria. When Scott arrived at the Wharf, they had been making their own Sangria, but he added his own special touch, which they have been using ever since! The secret recipe Sangria is one of the most popular drinks at the beloved Wildwood restaurant! The drink is perfect to enjoy on the Wharf deck with live music or in the indoor dining restaurant with fresh seafood!
The Wharf offers the best of both worlds with their casual outdoor deck and elevated indoor dining room, which offer different menus. And for the boat enthusiasts, the Wharf offers service right off their dock, which has 60 boat slips.
The Wharf is open seven days a week. The outdoor deck has live music with a waterfront view every day of the week in the afternoon and at night! Happy hour is Monday-Thursday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. and features specialty cocktails and a special happy hour menu!
