This week’s featured cocktail is a twist on a classic and serves as both a drink and a dessert! The drink of the week is the Not Your Grandma’s Grasshopper from Duffinetti’s Restaurant and Lounge in Wildwood.
Bartender John started the drink by prepping the glass, adding a chocolate spiral to a classic martini glass. He then added crème de menthe, crème de cacao, Ketel One vodka, and half and half to a cocktail shaker with ice, shook it up, and poured it into the glass over the chocolate swirl. Normally Grasshoppers are made without the vodka, but remember: this is “Not Your Grandma’s Grasshopper!” The drink is the perfect dessert and tastes like melted mint chocolate chip ice cream in a glass. Although it can be served as a night-cap, no one will stop you if you have a sweets craving at 5 o’clock!
