This week’s drink of the week is mythical, magical and a little bit misunderstood. For this week’s featured drink, we headed to The Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille in North Wildwood to try one of their signature cocktails, the Misunderstood Mermaid!
Bartender Molly created the perfect fall cocktail with Misunderstood Ginger Spiced Whiskey, pear juice, ginger ale, and muddled amarena cherries. She muddled the amarena cherries in a glass, then combined the cherry juice with pear juice and a shot of the ginger whiskey in a shaker. Molly poured it into a glass, added a few ice cubes, topped the drink with ginger ale, garnished the drink with an amarena cherry, and it was done! If you’re a fan of old fashions, this drink is the perfect spin on a classic whiskey cocktail! The unique Misunderstood Ginger Spiced Whiskey makes the drink and is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before.
