Drink of the Week: Mezcalita

Looking for something different?  Try a Mezcalita at Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille.

The Mezcalita offers a fresh, smoky twist to cocktails at the shore. The excellent bartender at Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille takes a cool rocks glass and rubs the rim with a freshly cut slice of lime. They then sip the rim into a mixture of salt and tajin seasoning. Then, the bartender gets to work with mezcal. In a shaker full of ice they pour 1.5 oz Mezcal,

2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice, 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice and half an ounce of Agave nectar. They shake the drink extremely well and strain over fresh ice into the rimmed rocks glass. This unique drink is finished off with a  fresh garnish of lime.
