Drink of the Week: Hot Spiked Cider

This week’s drink of the week, Hot Spiked Cider, is the perfect drink to help us stay warm during the holidays in a festive way. This creation from Rio Station is made with Fireball, Sour Apple Pucker, Laird’s AppleJack Brandy and hot apple cider. But this apple cider isn’t just any apple cider – the folks at Rio Station spiced it up by adding fresh pressed apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and boiling it all together. Garnished with an apple slice, a cinnamon stick, whipped cream and cinnamon, this drink will be sure to hit the spot on those soon-to-come cold winter days.

There’s no excuse not to grab a cup of Hot Spiked Cider at Rio Station during the holiday season, because Rio Station is open seven days a week at 11 a.m. Enjoy $5 appetizers and various drink specials during Happy Hour on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Reverse Happy Hour on Tuesday from 7 to 11 p.m. For the upcoming season, Rio Station is featuring a new menu with Sunday Supper at 1 p.m. and vegetarian and gluten free options.
