Drink of the Week: Gingerbreadtini

Rio Station is ringing in the holiday season in style with their new lineup of Holiday Martinis, available daily at the bar. Never one to miss out on a new and different cocktail, I decided to taste test Rio Station’s appropriately titled “Gingerbreadtini”. Made with Smirnoff Cake flavored vodka, Rumchata, and freshly ground nutmeg, the Gingerbreadtini is a reminder of why is truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Topped with a swirl of whipped cream and a dash more of nutmeg, the creamy goodness of the Rumchata and sweet flavor of the cake vodka marry to taste eerily similar to a bite of homemade gingerbread. Don’t believe it? Try it yourself for just $7.50 at the Rio’s bar.

The Pumpkintini – made with vanilla vodka, Rumchata, and fresh pumpkin puree – has also been a smash hit since its introduction on the Rio Holiday Martini menu. Other standout seasonal creations include the Chocomintini and the Salted Carameltini, also rumored to be must-try choices. Dare to indulge with this sweet martini line-up. Rio Station has a special appreciation for martinis and even features a bar sign saluting them. “Martinis, helping people lower their standards since 1927!” Grab a martini of your own at the Rio’s extended Happy Hour Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm and Friday from 4 to 9 p. Happy holidaze!
