In this week’s quest for drink of the week, we decided to hit a local tavern with a distinct country flare. The always-cozy Country Club Tavern has long been a locals’ favorite. And we set out to determine which signature drinks set them apart. CCT mixologist Dom let us know that we were actually in luck, as he had recently created a new fall cocktail menu. When asked for his expert selection from this promising menu, Dom decided to debut the “Caribbean Fireball”. This fiery yet fruity cocktail is made with Fireball Whiskey, Cruzan Mango Rum, banana liqueur, and finished with a splash of pineapple juice. Though we were at first skeptical about this unlikely flavor combination, the Caribbean Fireball had a delicious kick. The cinnamon flavor of the whiskey was balanced by the acidity of fruit flavors. The cherry and orange garnishes absorbed this hot but sweet flavoring, serving as an added treat. The Caribbean Fireball is no doubt an excellent way to warm up on a cool fall evening.
