Drink of the Week: Blackberry Sangria

This week’s winning drink hails from Two Mile Landing Restaurant’s beautifully tiled, wrap-around bar and is a new addition to the 2014 cocktail menu. Titled “Two Mile Blackberry Sangria”, it consists of house Merlot, blackberry brandy, orange juice, cranberry juice, and freshly muddled lime and orange shaken, poured over ice, and served in a wine glass. The Blackberry Sangria is the brainchild of several of of Two Mile’s brightest bartenders, but was skillfully served to us by bartender and manager Vince. He also highly recommends this sangria’s white wine counterpart, titled “Summer Sangria”. Light, sweet, and refreshing, the Summer Sangria is made with a Riesling base, peach schnapps, pineapple juice, and freshly muddled orange and lime.

Stop by and sample one or both of these Two Mile signature sangrias at Happy Hour Thursday through Sunday from 3-6 p.m. These plus all other drinks are offered at $1 off and Coors Light drafts are on special for just $2.50. A full martini menu and whiskey list plus 24 beers on tap and wine list round out Two Mile’s extensive selection and guarantee that you will find a drink that delights your senses.
