For this week’s drink of the week, we decided to visit one of Wildwood’s newest spots, Backfin Blues Bar & Grill. A signature drink at Backfin Blues, the Backfin Blue is a frenzy of pineapple flavor. Bartender Kate, the creator of the drink, made it for us using Cruzan Pineapple Rum, pineapple juice and Blue Curaçao, appropriately giving the cocktail a blue color. The pineapple slice garnish gives this drink its finishing touch, completing your taste of paradise.
Sip your Backfin Blue on the rooftop deck, complete with sunset views, palm trees, and a bar and lounge area for a relaxing, yet top-shelf atmosphere. The feeling of the cool breeze on your skin, the sight of boats coming and going on the bay, and the taste of sweet pineapple in your mouth is pure bliss. Or, for a more elegant experience, try the newly renovated and expanded bar downstairs. Either way, you’ll find just the experience you’re looking for on your vacation.
