Drink of the Week: Apple Pie Sangria

This week’s winning drink hails from Two Mile Landing Restaurant’s beautifully tiled, wrap-around bar and is a new addition to the 2014 fall cocktail menu. An autumnal twist on their popular sangria selection, it was inspired by the flavors of a seasonal dessert favorite. The “Apple Pie Sangria” is made with half a glass of house riesling, 2 ounces of apple juice, and a squirt of caramel. It is then shaken to froth and served over ice in a wine glass pre-drizzled with extra caramel. The finishing touch? A top-off with a spash of champagne. The Apple Pie Sangria is the brainchild of Two Mile bar manager Vince who skillfully prepared and served us a delightful taste.

Stop by and sample this Two Mile signature sangria at their Happy Hour Thursday 3-6 p.m., Friday 3-7 p.m., Saturday 1-6 p.m., and Sunday 3-6 p.m. Enjoy one of these plus 1/2 price drafts, select wines, and Orange Crush cocktails. Be sure to consult the $5 and $8 app menus for a taste of Two Mile’s most popular pre-dinner snacks. Two Mile has also recently debuted a new fall entree menu and a number of weekday specials.
